Padma Resort Legian is 6 km north of Ngurah Rai (DPS), at the quiet top end of Legian Beach where it meets Seminyak. In light traffic it is a 15–20 minute run; through the afternoon and evening crush it can stretch to 35. The drive is short but the last kilometre is the slow part, because Legian is a knot of one-way streets rather than an open road.
Your driver leaves the airport on the Ngurah Rai Bypass, turns off into Kuta, and threads the Legian one-way system — up Jalan Legian past Bemo Corner, then across to Jalan Padma, the beach road the resort is named for. It is exactly the stretch where a driver who knows the turns saves you a frustrating loop. There is no toll on this route; the toll line in your fare covers the airport exit and parking.
You are dropped at the resort’s own lobby entrance on Jalan Padma No. 1, under the porte-cochère — not on the public street outside. Like most large beachfront resorts in the area, Padma runs a quick driveway security check (a mirror sweep and a glance in the boot) at its gate; it is routine and usually over in under a minute. From there the bell desk takes your luggage and you walk straight into the open-air lobby.
Because this is a private transfer, the car goes all the way in. That matters more in Legian than almost anywhere else on the island: the streets around the resort are narrow and often one-way, and a rideshare that can’t enter the driveway may leave you and your bags at a corner a block away.
Grab works at DPS, but only from a designated ride-hail holding area — not the curb outside arrivals — so you collect your own bags, walk to the pickup point, and wait for a driver to accept.
