A Bali airport transfer with a baby seat gives families travelling with infants or toddlers a private vehicle from Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) fitted with an age-appropriate child seat, arranged in advance so it’s ready and installed before your driver meets you at arrivals. Bali Airport Transfer can provide this on request for families heading to destinations across the island.
Child seats need to be matched to your child’s age and weight, and not every vehicle in a fleet carries one by default. Requesting a seat when you book — rather than asking on arrival — gives our team time to confirm the right seat type and have it fitted before your flight lands, so there’s no delay or improvisation at the curb. This is particularly relevant for families flying long-haul with a tired infant, when the last thing you want is to wait around while a seat is sourced.
Child seat suitability generally follows standard age and weight brackets:
| Category | Typical Guideline |
|---|---|
| Infant seat | Newborn up to roughly 12-15 months, rear-facing |
| Toddler seat | Roughly 1-4 years, forward-facing with harness |
| Booster seat | Older children who have outgrown a harnessed seat but are still too small for an adult seatbelt alone |
These are general guidelines rather than strict cut-offs — every child develops differently, so let us know your child’s age and approximate weight when booking, and we’ll confirm which seat type is appropriate for your trip.
Child seats provided are secured using the vehicle’s existing seatbelt or anchor points, and drivers assist with proper installation before pickup. If you have a strong preference for a specific seat brand or type — for example, if your child has a particular comfort item or medical consideration — you’re welcome to bring your own seat instead, and our driver can help install it in the vehicle. Just mention this when booking so the vehicle assigned has enough space for your own equipment alongside luggage.
We recommend requesting the seat at the same time as your main transfer booking rather than as a last-minute addition, since this gives our team time to prepare the correct equipment for your arrival.
This service works well for families of all sizes — from a couple travelling with one infant to larger multi-generational groups bringing several young children. If your family also needs wheelchair-accessible arrangements for an older relative, our wheelchair-accessible transfer page has more detail, and both requests can be combined in a single booking. For general family travel information, see our family airport transfer page.
Families travelling with strollers, baby bags, and additional luggage on top of a child seat often find an MPV such as the Toyota Innova more comfortable than a sedan, simply because there’s more room to fit everything without feeling cramped. If you’re bringing a stroller that needs to be folded and stored in the boot, mention this at booking so the vehicle recommendation accounts for the extra space required.
Some children fall right at the edge between an infant seat and a toddler seat, or between a toddler seat and a booster, depending on their individual size rather than age alone. If you’re unsure which category applies, let us know both the age and approximate weight of your child, and our team can suggest the most suitable option. It’s always fine to ask questions before booking — getting the right seat matters more than fitting a rigid category.
Families often have more than one special requirement at once — a child seat plus extra luggage space for a stroller and travel cot, for example, or a child seat alongside a request for an early morning or late-night pickup. All of these can typically be arranged together as long as they’re mentioned at the time of booking. Trying to add requests after the vehicle has already been assigned is harder to accommodate, so it’s best to share your full list of needs upfront in your first message to our team.
Travelling with a baby or toddler already comes with enough to manage — a properly arranged airport transfer shouldn’t add to that stress. To book a private transfer with a child seat, message our team on WhatsApp at +62 811-2859-0000 or email [email protected] with your child’s age, your flight details, and your destination. We’ll confirm the seat and vehicle arrangement in writing before you fly.
Many families flying to Bali arrive after an overnight or long-haul journey, which means your child may be overtired or on an unusual sleep schedule by the time you land. Having the child seat and vehicle already arranged means one less thing to sort out at the airport — you can move straight from arrivals to your driver without needing to source or fit equipment on the spot. If your flight lands very late at night or very early in the morning, mention this when booking so the driver knows to expect a quieter, more gradual pace when loading the car with a sleepy child in tow.
