Bali Airport Transfer is a private-car service operated by Bali Premium Trip since 2015, and a fair share of our arrivals include a four-legged passenger — an expat relocating with the family dog, a returning resident with a cat, or a traveller whose pet has already cleared arrival formalities. The one rule that makes it work is simple: tell us before you fly. Because a specific driver has to agree to carry an animal, a pet transfer is never a walk-up service — it is arranged the moment you book so the right car and the right driver are waiting for you.

Here is how a booking comes together:

• Message the desk on WhatsApp with your flight, hotel or villa, arrival date, and the pet details — species, breed, weight, and the size of the carrier or crate. A photo of the crate helps us pick the vehicle.
• We assign a pet-friendly driver who is happy to carry your animal, and confirm the vehicle, meeting point, and a fixed price in writing before you leave home.
• You are met at arrivals with a nameboard, a porter helps with bags and the crate, and the car is brought as close as airport rules allow so your pet spends the least possible time in the heat.
• Door to door, with a boot liner or seat cover down, bottled water for you and a bowl on request, and a driver who will make a comfort stop on longer runs to Ubud or the north.

What We Ask When You Bring a Pet

None of these are red tape for its own sake — each one keeps your pet safe and the car clean for the next family who books it:

• A carrier or crate is required. Cats and small dogs travel in a soft or hard carrier on the seat or floor; larger dogs need a travel crate in the boot. An unrestrained animal in a moving car is unsafe for everyone, so this is not optional.
• Tell us the true size and weight. A 45 kg dog in a large crate needs a Staria or V-Class, not a standard Innova. Accurate details up front mean the right vehicle turns up.
• Owner travels with the pet. We carry pets accompanied by their owner — we are not an unaccompanied pet-courier or relocation service.
• Clean and settled. Please have your pet toileted before the drive where you can, and bring a mat or blanket it knows. We put down protection as well, but a familiar scent keeps anxious animals calmer.

There is no surcharge for the pet itself — you pay the normal fixed fare for the vehicle and route. The only time the price moves is if a large crate means you need a bigger car than your passenger count alone would require, and we will tell you that plainly when we quote.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Pet and Crate

Choose by crate size first, then by how many people are travelling. Prices below are the fixed fare to the south-Bali resort belt (Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua); longer runs to Ubud, Uluwatu, Canggu, or the north cost more and are listed in full on our airport transfer price list.

Prices are fixed in US dollars before you fly. Card payments add 3%, and pickups between 22:00 and 05:00 add a flat $5 (IDR ~82k). For most dog owners we quietly recommend the Hyundai Staria — its boot swallows a large crate and still leaves room for the whole family and their bags.

Why Grab and Airport Taxis Often Turn Pets Away

Travellers are frequently caught out at the arrivals kerb, so it is worth being clear about the reality. Grab and Gojek are the only ride-hailing apps allowed at DPS, and they pick up from a designated lounge or zone rather than the kerb — but the driver who accepts your ride has not agreed to carry an animal, and many decline the moment they see a crate. The official airport taxi counter offers no pet guarantee either, and street touts are best avoided entirely. With a pet, a spun-out search for a car that will take you can leave an animal sitting in a hot terminal for an hour.

A pre-arranged private transfer removes that gamble completely: the driver knew about your pet when the booking was made, the vehicle is the right size, and the car is confirmed before you land. What We Do — and What We Don’t

What we provide: the ground transfer between the airport and your accommodation once your pet is already cleared to be in Bali, in a private car with a briefed, willing driver. That is the whole service, and we do it well.

What we are not: we are not a pet-import, customs, or quarantine agent, and we do not fly animals as cargo. Bringing a live animal into Bali is governed by strict Indonesian animal-quarantine and import rules that change from time to time, and clearance is handled by the authorities and by specialist pet-relocation companies — not by a transfer driver. If your pet has not yet been cleared for entry, sort that out with a licensed relocation agent first; we simply drive you and your already-cleared pet to your door. Being straight about this saves everyone a disappointment at the terminal.
