There is no single “correct” route from Canggu to DPS; there are three, and the right one shifts by the hour. From the Batu Bolong side, the Canggu Shortcut through the paddies is the straight line — quick when clear, painful when a delivery truck meets oncoming scooters between the walls. From Berawa, chauffeurs often prefer dropping down through Kerobokan to join Sunset Road earlier. And on peak afternoons, swinging wider via Umalas can beat both, trading distance for movement.
